ann's background

Raised in Webster City and graduate of Lincoln High School, Ann went on to the University of Iowa to earn a bachelors degree in Liberal Studies (specialization areas in Economics, Psychology, Religion, and Chemistry).

The last 28 years she has worked in health-care related organizations from pharmacy to hospice and end of life care in both non-profit and for-profit settings.

She relocated back to Webster City in May 2018 to be closer to family and has enjoyed reconnecting to the community through her current work as the manager of the Webster City Theatre, Business Manager for Kendall Young Public Library and Office Manager of Shanti Rejuvenation Center.

Ann has held leadership positions in a variety of settings both in her professional life and as a volunteer. Her work includes substantial time with P.E.O, Friends of Kendall Young Library, Legacy Learning Boone River Valley, and Episcopal Church of the Good Shepard.

She is on the Provincial Council, an appointed position by the Bishop for the Episcopal Diocese of Iowa, serving eight states covering the Rocky Mountains to the Mississippi River.

Ann’s great great grandfather moved to Webster City in the early 1900’s. Ann’s family has also been active in the area and the life of the community, which was a central part of Ann’s upbringing as her parents owned and operated Thompson Pharmacy.
